We wish to thank our awesome volunteers and partners that have helped us keep the Pantry going during this difficult time. Foremost is our “core team” that spends many hours collecting, transporting, dating, stocking, and packaging supplies to be delivered to our clients.
Our volunteers that help us with distributions and special events from the three National Charity League Chapters, Bear Creek United Methodist, St. Aidan’s Episcopal, Addicks United Methodist, Peace Community, Church of Latter Day Saints, Cy-Fair Women’s Club, and others including some of our clients who also volunteer with us. A huge thank you to St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic for their continued collection and delivery of food to the pantry. Two weeks ago they collected and delivered over 4100 lbs for the pantry at a time when we needed it the most. Because of all of you we have been able to stay open and continue to feed the ever increasing numbers in our community that have become food insecure. Since the stay at home orders have gone into effect we have had three pantry nights and served 233 families in March, 263 and 275 families in April on the Tuesday pantry nights along with 325 families at the April produce truck. This represents an increase of over 100 families at each event. All of you are a blessing to the community and each of us that work alongside you.
